Terms and Conditions for training courses

(1) Managing Digital Records Course

CIMS is collecting Personal Information on behalf of the State of New South Wales (State Records) from the delegate for the purpose of the delegate's registration for and attendance at the training course 'Managing Digital Records'.

Personal Information will not be disclosed to any other third party without the consent of the delegate, unless authorised or required by law or for other authorised purposes described in the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.

The maximum enrolment per course, unless otherwise specified, is 20 participants for all courses.

  • The maximum enrolment for Transferring State Archives is 15 participants.
  • The maximum enrolment for De Dramatising Disasters is 12 participants.

NSW public sector personnel have priority, non public sector employees may attend if places are available, at the discretion of State Records NSW.

The minimum enrolments per course, unless other wise specified, are:

  • Records Management Fundamentals (Sydney) 12 (Regional) 15
  • Implementing GDA10 (Sydney) 6 (Regional) 12
  • Implementing a Retention and Disposal Authority 12

Places are allocated in order of receipt of registration form. Where a place is unavailable on your nominated date, we will contact you to see if we can place you on a later course.
It is State Records' policy that, in the interests of fairness, a single agency is only allowed to initially book up to 9 places in a training calendar course, and where any vacancies remain in a course two weeks prior to the date of the course an agency which has already booked up to 9 places will be offered more places (and may take all remaining unfilled places). This policy does not apply to 'in house' courses.

Cancellation / postponement

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone courses due to unforeseen circumstances. We will make every effort to ensure that nominees for cancelled courses are placed on the next available course.
Should you be unable to attend a course, a substitute registration is welcome at no extra charge. If you need to substitute another staff member, you must let us know at least 5 working days before the course.
We will refund your registration fee for the training course following written advice of your withdrawal, up to ten working days before the course.
We regret that no refund can be made for cancellations received less than ten working days before a course.
